"Kathakali" is such a wonderful performing art that it is renowned all the world over as an excellent dance drama. The splendour in its combination of make up, acting, music, rhythmic percussions with a well disciplined, well co-ordinated sequences has naturally brought this great art to be one of the masterpieces in performing art forms.
Originated almost 300 years back; derived from various indigeneous folk art forms from different parts of kerala, technically refined and modified by dedicated art lovers including Royalties, kathakali spread its wings and came to the forefront soon.
To create an awreness and help to enjoy the great art, a few of us enthusiastically joined hands in research, data collection and to present our share of knowledge to those who love kathakali and are eager to gain a deeper view.
